We can hardly believe the Coffee Morning has been operating four years, and again John and I want to thank the team; their dedication is fantastic.
Stephen, Ruth, Sue, June, Marjorie L, Phyllis F and, of course, we also thank Marcus and Pritti for their faithful service over the years.
With Marcus and Pritti having moved one, we would appreciate anyone with transport who is available the first Monday of each month to collect one or two people and bring them to the centre, and afterwards take them back home, to contact us. It will not be necessary for the volunteer to stay for the whole morning as we do have enough people on the team.
The numbers attending so far this year have averaged out at 22.
Phyllis Jesset celebrated her 101st Birthday in June and is still “walking” to Deepdale with her neighbour, Joyce. She really is wonderful.
Our coach trip in August was to Ripley Castle. The weather had been horrible until that Monday! Although it was rather windy, the sun never stopped shining and everyone had a wonderful time, including the team!
We have been praying about inviting prayer requests, and this is being implemented from November. A notepad and pen will be placed on each table and the team will encourage our guests to write down, in confidence, prayer requests for themselves, their families, and friends.
