We give thanks to God for another excellent year of opportunity on the Book Table.

The book table is to be found outside ‘Costcutter’ on the first Saturday morning of each month, (apart from January.) On each occasion we give away new Christian books and Bibles. We have been able to give away hundreds of volumes over the last few years, thanks to the generosity of those who give financially to the church.

This report must place on record our thanks to Pritti for leading the work with vision and zeal and sacrificial commitment for so long. It is a tribute to Pritti’s forethought that the ministry continues to flourish in her absence, and also to the willingness of a number of people to step into the ‘gap’. I am grateful to Sue M who has taken on responsibility for ordering/collecting children’s books, Ruth C (adult books), and Ruth T who has taken on some of the administrative tasks behind the scenes. I am grateful to all of you, and to each person who helps out on the book table. (Ruth C also opens her home for the book table prayer meeting – 9a.m – 10.45a.m. on book table mornings. People can drop in for whatever time they can spare.)

It has been great to have David W and Mollie T join the team this year. It feels like they have always been with us, and they are making a great contribution.
