YTFC is for kids in year 6 – 10 (which is age 10 to 14 for those working in old money).

As well as the usual games and quizzes we also have a number of craft activities from making gifts for Christmas or Mothers Day (apologies if you are parents and received any) to baking and even decorating T-Shirts.

While we meet at Deepdale most weeks so everyone knows where to find us, we have also arranged a number of trips, some of which are on weekends. We have been for walks, treasure hunts, swimming, a visit to the local fire station and a bike ride to Spofforth.

The club has excellent support from the leaders Gerry T, Sheilah D and Lisa S, with David & Sarah J co-ordinating.

The aim of the Club is to provide a fun environment where anyone can bring friends and they can hear the gospel presented in a challenging, but non-threatening way. This term we are focusing on “What Christians believe” and for those who have already made a commitment, we hope to re-affirm their beliefs and encourage them further.   

While we have seen new faces over the year, some of the older ones moved up to the senior youth group in September, so we are averaging eight to ten children. Our hope is that we will reach out to kids in the local area that don’t attend church and to that end have put posters up in local schools and shops.

Our prayer is that the young teenagers of Boston Spa will hear the good news of the gospel from people that believe it in a fun environment.
