Bawtry 2001

Home Up About Us New to the area? What's on Coming Soon Tape/CD Catalogue Contact Us

During May 2001 the church had another weekend away at Bawtry Hall. This was now our second time away as a church and expectations were high after last years weekend away.

Our guest speaker for the weekend was Alan Meyer. Alan spoke to us on the theme of the The Servant King. He gave three talks all of which are available on cassette. If you would like the tapes click here to order or  contact us. While Alan was speaking to the adults a separate children's programme was running.

Over the weekend in addition to the talks by Alan we ran a caption competition, had a treasure hunt and a DIY entertainments evening. The entertainments evening was opportunity for as many people who had the nerve to reveal how much, or how little, talent they had. A prize was also awarded for the best set of family photographs, click here for a copy! For a view of the full timetable of events click here.

Most people who attended also provided, in advance, a photograph of themselves as a baby/youngster. The challenge was to identify who was who today.

If the comments received since the weekend away are anything to go by then it is clear that the 2001 House Party was a time of great blessing for the church. The dates for 2002 have already been set, 7-9th June 2002, why not book early and come along?
